What has been fun about preparing for my upcoming Retrospective is rediscovering old artwork. One series, "Gordy Recommends" is a kick. I gave figurative paintings a utility when I added a custom cocktail recipe over the image. Now it's worth something!
C'mon down! This series, one of many, will be part of my one night only retrospective, GORDY GRUNDY: BURN, on Friday 13th July at Coagula Curatorial, in Chinatown, from 8pm to 11pm. Crown will spin.
Bombay Sapphire wants to mix you a cocktail creation.

From the Back Alleys of Old Shanghai, to the Gaming Tables of Macao…
1 ounce premium Gin
1 ounce premium light Rum
1 teaspoon freshly chopped Ginger
1-1/2 ounce Pineapple Juice
1 dash Grenadine
Stir well with ice and strain into a cocktail glass.
Detail with lime wedges.
Overwhelming and tranquil.
THE VON DUTCH
4 ounces Blue Ice Vodka
2 ounces fresh tonic water
Pour over ice into a Collins glass.
Stir. Tour with a lime wheel.

Get your Vitamin C the Pirate Way...
One ounce Orange Juice
One ounce Grapefruit Juice
A splash of Cranberry Juice
Two ounces premium light Rum
A dash of grenadine
Juice of a lime quarter
Pour over ice into a highball glass.
Garnish with fresh fruit wedges.
Rape and pillage.
THE LIBERATOR
2 ounces Gin
1 ounce lemon juice
1 teaspoon sugar
Champagne
In a highball glass, stir the Gin, lemon juice and sugar.
Fill with ice and champagne.
